
Manuel Martín was born in La Zubia, Granada province, in 1956.
He is a self-taught, versatile artist. He began his artistic life at an early age working in metal, polychromatic marquetry, carpentry, sculpture and oil and watercolour painting.
In 1970 he entered the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios (School of Applied Arts and Crafts) in Granada.
In 1987 he studied jewelery making with the German gold- and silversmith, Jancior Graves.
In 1988 he moved to Madrid where he dedicated himself to the restoration of objets d-art.
Since 1993 he has worked in interior and exterior design and decoration.
His work in sculpture, painting, jewelery and design of furniture and decorative objects has provided the basis for a variety of exhibitions and entries in national and international competitions.

- 1995, created the cover for the programme of the fiesta of Cádiar (Granada)

- 1999, his work "Barranco Oscuro" was used as the design for the labels on the Vigiriega Oro wine produced by the Barranco Oscuro winery
- 2001, his design won the contest to produce the poster for the Fiesta de Nochevieja en Agosto (New Year’s Eve in August), in Bérchules (Granada)
- 2001, 2002, he edited and produced a series of postcards from his collection, Alpujarra Viva.
